A high point in the coupe market is the Ford Mustang. In 1998 Ford rolled out an upgraded version of the Mustang with three versions: SVT Cobra, GT, and Base. Sales for the Mustang, especially the Mustang Base, were brisk during 1998 and 1999. The improved reliability and the updated styling were responsible for the increased interest.
