The Ford Mustang LX for 1992

The restyled Mustang LX is equipped with a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that utilizes 8 valves. The engine is mated to a Borg Warner five-speed transmission. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 1991 version.

Steering control is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The Mustang comes equipped with power-assisted brakes, with Non-ABS support. The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are drum. The car uses coil front springs and coil in the rear.

The original manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) was $16,899 when new, with a dealer invoice cost of an industry-low price. This price was in line with the industry average price for a 2-door Convertible.

Fuel Efficiency

The fuel system for the 1992 Mustang is a EFI system, running on gasoline . The fuel is regulated by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design.
