The Base version is one of the more popular options, outselling other configurations. Like in 2002 the popular 3.8 liter has made this a popular choice for convertible buyers nationwide.

The Ford Mustang SVT Cobra for 1995

In 1995 Ford released the Mustang SVT Cobra to the car-buying market. The Mustang came in five configurations: SVT Cobra R, GT, GTS, and Base. The SVT Cobra configuration is powered by the 5.0-liter eight-cylinder engine, which makes 25 highway miles and 17 city. The Mustang competes in the Coupe market segment, in direct competition with Honda.

The 1998 Mustang is an important vehicle to Ford for the convertible market segment. The GT is a member of a series of three trim levels for the Mustang which include SVT Cobra, GT, and Base. The two-door car with its rear-wheel drive is positioned to aggressively fill this niche for Ford. There is strong competition from vehicles from Acura.

Ford Mustang

In 2008 Ford released the Mustang Base to the car-buying market. The Mustang came in six configurations: Shelby GT, Shelby GT500, Base, Bullitt, and Shelby GT500KR. The Base configuration is powered by the 4.0-liter six-cylinder engine, which makes 24 - 26 highway miles and 16 - 17 city. The Mustang competes in the Coupe market segment, in direct competition with Honda.
