Ford Mustang

A high point in the coupe market is the Ford Mustang. In 2008 Ford rolled out an upgraded version of the Mustang with six versions: Shelby GT, Shelby GT500, Base, Bullitt, and Shelby GT500KR. Sales for the Mustang, especially the Mustang Bullitt, were brisk during 2008 and 2009. The improved reliability and the updated styling were responsible for the increased interest.

2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt Specs

The restyled Mustang Bullitt is equipped with a 4.6-liter eight-cylinder engine that utilizes 24 valves. The engine is mated to a Tremec five-speed transmission. This has resulted in an increase in horsepower and torque over the 2007 version.

The front brakes are disc while the rear brakes are disc. Steering is handled through a power-steering rack-style configuration. The Mustang uses power-assisted brakes, with 4-Wheel ABS support. Load balancing is provided by coil front springs and coil in the rear.

The fuel system for the 2008 Mustang is a traditional SFI, running on gasoline fuel. The fuel is controlled by an electronic system and is a fuel-injected MFI design. The capacity of the fuel tank is 16.00 gallons.
